President
The President presides at Association meetings and meetings of the Board, preserves order and regulates debate, supervises the affairs of the Association and attends to its executive matters. He/she or an alternate so designated represents the Association as the liaison to other organizations as needed.
Vice President
The Vice President presides over meetings when the President is absent and assists the President and other Committee chairs as needed. The Vice President succeeds the President in the event that position is vacated before scheduled Board elections are held.
Secretary-Treasurer
The Secretary-Treasurer keeps the minutes of the Board meetings and provides financial reports to the Board. This role also keeps all Association records and reports activities of the Association to the membership. Additionally, the Secretary-Treasurer, along with the President in dual capacity, has oversight over the funds of the Association. In the event of the temporary absence or disability of the Secretary-Treasurer, his or her duties are performed by a person designated by the President.
Special Events
The Special Events Chair(s) work on our biennial Historic Home Tour and Fall Fling, as well as our annual Yard Sale. This committee may also develop new recurring events on behalf of the neighborhood as well other one-time events or programs for residents.
Membership
This committee is responsible for recruiting new members and conducting York Chester Historic District Neighborhood welcome activities as well as organizing member meetings. It will also conduct an annual review and recommend Membership Benefits and Membership Levels for Board approval.
Neighborhood Enhancement
This committee is responsible for neighborhood improvement projects of the Association, conducting the Association’s Yard of the Month program, and monitoring maintenance of neighborhood signs. This committee encourages and promotes the preservation of old structures in the neighborhood and work with other organizations interested in preservation.
Website
This committee is responsible for the implementation, maintenance and upgrades realted to the Association’s online presence through this website as well as through other social media sites. This role is integral to the Association's communications by using pertinent content on our site targeted to the York Chester neighborhood as well as the community at large.
Public Relations
This committee monitors issues of importance to the Association, produces the Association’s newsletter, and coordinates all publicity deemed necessary by the Board.
